Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a voltage resonance-type power supply apparatus by which a wasteful power consumption can be reduced by a method wherein, in a PWM operation, a dummy load is cut off and the dummy load is connected to an output load when the PWM operation is stopped. CONSTITUTION: In a PWM operation, a dummy load is cut off, and the dummy load is connected to an output load 23 when the supply of a pulse signal is stopped by a control circuit 19, and the PWM operation is stopped. At the same time, the control circuit 19 turns on a transistor 29 at a bypass circuit 400, a constant-current circuit is made active, and a current which flows to an external control circuit 22 is made to flow to a common line via a resistance 24. Consequently, the external control circuit 22 stops its operation smoothly without being shifted to a self-excited resonance operation, and a wasteful power consumption can be reduced.
